Cubeez OOH Special Build

Woolworths NZ partnered with Minecraft to launch Cubeez, a limited-edition collectables campaign designed to drive customer engagement and reward shopping. I was tasked with creating the artwork for a premium JCDecaux special-build out-of-home activation that would transform a high-profile Auckland site into an eye-catching extension of the campaign.

Process

Working within both the Woolworths and Minecraft brand guidelines, I developed the creative artwork from concept through to final execution. This included exploring visual directions, adapting campaign assets for a large-format environment, and producing in situ mock-ups to demonstrate how the activation would come to life in the real world.

Outcome

The final installation delivered a bold, high-impact brand experience that brought the pixelated Minecraft world into a real-world environment. Designed to stop traffic and spark excitement, the activation amplified the Cubeez promotion at one of Auckland's busiest intersections, helping build anticipation around collecting all 40 limited-edition characters.
